Calling all fun-loving adults and their little people!
Wednesdays 10-10.45am, VibeZ Dance Studio, Woodley Precinct (see venue maps) Last class 24th Feb
This class is suitable from when infants are crawling to approximately 30 months to attend with one of their favourite people. The class is a mixture of yoga based around songs for the little ones, and yoga for the parent because it's difficult to find places to exercise or relax where toddlers stay with you. We have lots of fun, including making human tunnels and houses for them to crawl or walk through!
Compared to the Mother & Baby Yoga classes, the little ones do a lot more wandering around. It's a safe space while the adults do their thing, with an option to climb over you at any point! It certainly makes yoga interesting. You don't need to worry about them being noisy or running around!
The yoga class helps to develop the child's innate creativity and curiosity. It's good not to have expectations about how much they'll join in - just like at Rhymetime, they will join in with some things and not others, but they're soaking it all up like a sponge!
No previous yoga experience is necessary. The best thing is to come and try it out. You can drop-in the first time, but after that I ask that you pay for a block of 4 (can be taken over 5 weeks in case of illness etc). I provide a cup of tea and a breadstick at the end, but please bring a snack for your child if that is not suitable.
